2009 was definitely a year for news makers.
On a national level, there was the historic inauguration of President Barack Obama. Sonya Sotomeyer was the first Hispanic woman appointed to the Supreme Court, and Congress passed an unprecedented $825 billion stimulus package designed to jumpstart the economy. Montana’s U.S. Senator Max Baucus further carved out his national reputation as he introduced health care legislation for a national healthcare policy that continues to cause controversy throughout the nation. |
