January 26, 2009 San Francisco, California-based NaturEner USA, LLC, a renewable energy company, announced today that the company closed a $156 million preferred equity investment by Morgan Stanley for NaturEner’s Glacier 1 wind farm outside Ethridge, Montana. The wind farm was placed into service in December 2008 and supplies 106.5 MW of wind energy at full production, employing a total of seventy-one 1.5 MW Acciona wind turbines. |

The first phase of a $500 million wind farm south of Ethridge and 85 miles north of Great Falls is finished and on the electrical grid, with the power bound for California. "It's probably the most important thing that's happened in northcentral Montana in quite a while," Toole County Commissioner Allan Underdal said. "It means a lot of tax base for our county." |

The wind farm will be put into service in November 2008 and supply 106.5 MW of wind energy at full production, employing a total of seventy-one 1.5 MW wind turbines. |
